Daughter Date Night

Last night Javier took the two little ones to a Valentine's dinner at church, while Alicia and I stayed in and spend some good one on one time with each other. We watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua, ate lots of popcorn and pulled a good old prank on Javier before he left. Alicia bought some fake scratch off tickets from the dollar store and told Javier that she got him a scratch off from Publix. She gave him a scratch with a winnings of $10,000. He scratched it and his eyes popped out like I have never seen. I tried to keep my composure to play along but it was to hard to because I do not like to tease people with money when we are in need of it. I felt so bad but at the same time it was not easy to not laugh. Other than that funny prank, then that's when Alicia and I watched our movie and called it a night. I loved every minute of my time with her, I most definitely will make this a routine with each of my daughters.

Honor Roll Ceremony

This morning was Alicia's honor roll ceremony, She got A's & B's and got a shining star award for reading. She worked real hard this quarter along with all the other responsibilities she has such as band, choir and chores at home. It's kind of funny that Alicia calls herself a band geek but a pretty cute one lol.... I am so proud of Alicia to have accomplished so much this quarter and hope she continues to keep up the good work.

The Dentist

Yesterday was the girls dentist appointment, it was Daisy and Jasleen's first dentist appointment ever and Alicia's third. Daisy's first experience went well, no complaints but Jasleen was a little unsure. Jasleen cried a bit and did not want to open her mouth at all for the dentist but eventually the job got done. Alicia got some fillings in a new cavity, sad to say but yes she has another cavity and Daisy will be visiting the dentist again for a follow up. I was really happy to take my girls to their first Dentist appointment, I am so happy that I am there to never miss a single thing with any of them. I love them all so much and I would change nothing about them.
THE END...

Park Days

As I stated in my New Years resolution list, I promised to have more park days with the girls. Well, lately for the past two weeks I have been taken all three girls to the park every day after Alicia gets out of school and some weekends we go to the park too. Well, last Saturday we found this gorgeous park in North Lauderdale called Hampton Pines Park. This park is really big with lots of trails, water sports and activities such as BBQ grills, volleyball nets and they even hold 5K running activities which I will be considering to do next month, this park even has two playgrounds. We had so much fun there, we are gonna make this our every weekend spot for the family to go to.

Happy Anniversary

Our anniversary means a lot,
Much more than any another day;
I celebrate my love for you,
And cherish you in every way.
Through passing time, our love still grows,
A caring relationship to explore;
Our life together gets better and better,
And I keep on loving you more and more...
XOXO

PreSchool

About two days ago I took Daisy to a McDonald's in the morning after dropping off Javier at work so she can play and eat something. Well there happen to be a preschool next to the McDonald's, I pointed to it telling Daisy look school. She looked over at it and noticed a playground and told me I want to go to school please mommy. I was in disbelief that she really wanted to go to school, because she does not know what school really is. Daisy just said she wanted to go to school because she saw the play ground which she wanted to play at. Well, I thought it would be a good idea to introduce her to the preschool and see what her reaction would be. We got to the school, took a tour and the classroom that she would be assigned to she sat down and wanted to do what the other kids were doing as the tour guide spoke to me about the school. As soon as it was time to go look at the playground I called Daisy to come along and she did not want to go, she rather have stayed with the class but I grabbed her hand to come along. When Daisy saw the playground she ran right to it and started to play. When it was time to go she cried and said she did not want to leave, that she wanted to stay at school.

Well, from this experience I spoke to Javier and told him all about the experience at the school and he felt bad that she wants to go and that she could not stay. So, Javi and I are preschool shopping and considering to let Daisy start preschool real soon. Today I took a tour at another preschool which Daisy and I liked, I feel this school would be the best but I am not quiet sure...Javi and I will be shopping around for the best preschool for Daisy. I am personally a bit sad to send her to preschool so soon, but I do not want to hold Daisy back from wanting to learn and be with children her age. I feel this will be a wonderful experience for her in which I hope she grows from. So, future preschooler in the house....

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had an awesome New Years celebration. We sort of did, Daisy and Jasleen went to bed for the night at 9pm so Javi and I pretty much did our own thing till five minutes till midnight 2013! Javi and I drank sparkling grape juice and watched the ball drop on TV then went over things we would like to accomplish and change this new year of 2013. There are 25 things that I would like to have and do for 2013 as a family New Year resolution and it goes as follows:
...............................................................................................................................
 10 Family New Years Resolutions:
1. To not sweat the small stuff: mainly this means for each family member to not take things that each member says or does so personal. To forgive humbly and move on...
2. Family Meal times: This is simply to make it a goal to get the whole family around the dinner table...I feel Family mealtime is very important, routine is really important for kids I feel eating together for three meals a week or more will have more connectedness with one another....
3. To Spend more time Outdoors: I feel that it's important to have at lease a couple park days and just evening walks to feel free will improve our moods.
4. Be more Organized: we as a family have been lacking real bad in the area, I feel we need to make it a routine and habit to consciously be organized with everything we do.
5. Bake more: This is something I miss doing with my daughter, now that I have two more daughters I feel there is a need to bake more goodies to inspire them...
6. Individual Alone time: I feel this is something Javi and I lack as parents. I adore being around him as much as he adores being around me, but I feel we need to set aside at least every other weekend just for ourselves. I feel this will give one another to breath...Self-care is a necessity, and giving ourselves a "ME" time will allow us to be more patient and happy parents and spouses.
7. Story Time: Sadly I have to say I have not read any books to my daughters, and this is something I will make sure I change!
8. A Strong Sleep Routine: Even though already the girls have their set bedtime, occasionally we tend to slack and break the cycle...This is something Javi and I need to work on, which is to make sure we strictly keep a bedtime routine.
9. Date Nights: Javi and I really lack in this area, we will be setting more date nights so we can reconnect and be happy parents..maybe twice a month would do...
and lastly.....
10. Family Portraits: Javi and I have not taken a single family portrait of our family...this will change this year!
Now.... The top 10 New Years Resolutions I set aside for just ME...

My 10 New Years Resolution
1. Makeover my attitude: there are times I can be difficult to be around and this I will be working to change...
2. Respecting ME: What I mean by this is cutting people out of my life that both do not participate in my life, and that are just not good people in general.
3. Prioritize: I need to put things in my household priority such as keeping up with the bills, also my goal is to continue to be successful in school and to remain on the Deans List!
4. Get Fit: I had my two little ones, I am done for now with procreating LOL...After college my goal is to be a forensic scientist for the FBI, a long time dream of mine that I am working on...Therefore, I want to be fit and thin like I used to be before Daisy and Jasleen to start fresh at my future job!AND I will make it happen!
5. Maintaining Physic: My goal is to be more active with my appearance, I will be maintaining the blonde hair and hygiene.
6. Hobby: I want to take on new hobbies that relaxes me and something I enjoy doing that won't get old fast..Such as painting or poetry.
7. Bilingual: I would like to learn the language that was once my first which is Spanish, When I was Alicia's age I was 100% fluent in speaking Spanish...and I am determined to be that way again.
8. Math: I would like to become good at Math, I nearly almost failed my college Algebra class and being that I want to be a forensic scientist I would like to strengthening this academic weakness.
9. Positive: I am determined to be more positive on things that happen to effect me negatively.
10.  Most of all I am going to do Less talk - more action, don't talk about it - DO IT!
Happy New Year!!!
Welcome
2013!
