Daisy's Dentis Visit

Last Thursday Daisy went in for her fluoride treatment at the Dentist and let me tell you the transfer to this Dentists was the best decision that I have ever made! The previous dentist that Daisy used to go to just traumatized her and she was extremely frightened to go. So, I researched a dental office that specifically specializes in children and is children friendly. Well, thankfully I found one! Even though the distance is a bit far from our home, the comforting visits are worth the trip. Daisy has never felt so comfortable and confident to sit still and allow the dentist to handle her teeth. Daisy even looks forward to her visits because she loves how nice her dentist is and the rewards she gets for behaving. The reward Daisy gets at the end of each visit is a token to get a toy of her choice from this tooth fairy token machine. Daisy loves it! Anyhow I am happy that my girls have a dentist that they feel comfortable with.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my hubby! We may have our ups and downs but I must admit he is the only man/person that has always been by my side, and with that...that completes me. I have a deep appreciation for my husband who completes me, and I thank him for being a good father to our children and a hardworking provider most of all for the love he tries to share....and with that being said I thank him for being the one man in my life that I can ALWAYS count on...

Alicia's Honor Roll Ceremony/Mommy's Honor Roll

It's come to the end of the year of 3rd grade for Alicia, she just received an award for getting Honor Roll this quarter. She went through many challenges that third grade has offered which was going from major projects, FCAT, bringing grades up and learning how to write in cursive. She has grown to be so smart and special and just has a spirit full of happiness. Now, she is excited to close this chapter of her life and move on to 4th grade and first summer vacation!

As for ME, "mommy"...Well, I closed out a session of school and I am happy and relieved because it's been a longed for BREAK for me! I received all straight A's in both my courses  Proseminar in Criminal Justice and Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Theory which were a ton work. I went from an Environmental Science class straight to these two classes without break! So, I was super exhausted from the science straight into two loaded courses but I managed to stay strong! I brought my GPA significantly to where I am on the Deans list once again and I'm Happy! My professors loved my work and think I have a good eye and knowledge of the criminal justice system. My next classes are my going to be my first forensic science courses and I am super excited!!! They are Constitutional Issues in Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, I can't wait but till then I am going to enjoy my week off!

Mother's Day/Birthday weekend...

Mother's Day went great! I got to spend the whole day doing whatever I wanted and some with Alicia. I took a shower without rush and worries, I got to do my hair and nap and...just do what "I" wanted for a whole day! and... it felt AWESOME! I think mother's everywhere should be able to have more days like this rather just on Mother's Day.

As the evening approached, the kids and the hubby came home and come to find out Jasleen just did not feel well at all. She was warm with a fever, running nose and congested chest.
She did not sleep at all that night, and in fact stayed up all night. Meaning NO sleep for ME. The next day which was Monday I decided it was best to take Jasleen to the doctor to see what was wrong, they told me she had a respiratory infection and prescribed her with some medicine. For the past three days she has been improving which is awesome and mommy gets to catch up on sleep and school work.

I have an agenda when it comes to my school work, I am also a mom and a wife. So, to balance it all sometimes is not easy but I manage perfectly. I made sure Jasleen was focused on to get better and put my school work to the side for a couple of days. I always do this for all my kids when they are sick or need special attention. So, I am glad that I am wonder Mom to this life because I still manage to get straight A's in college, take perfect care of all my kids and home. This week has been such a crazy week for me, one because I didn't really get to enjoy my birthday because of crazy school week and Jasleen not being well. This week I have tons of assignments in which one includes a group project! Even keeping up with this blog seems challenging at time but I manage ;) So, I am thankful Jasleen is well again, I am healthy and my other two daughters are still healthy. So, Happy Mother's Day to Me & Happy 29th Birthday to Me!

Sprinkler Park Day

Today has been planned for over week to take the kids to the sprinkler park. Alicia was able to stay home because it was take your child to work day so we took advantage and all of us girls spent time together. This was Jasleen's first time at the sprinkler park so she was unsure about getting wet and playing on her own. After Jasleen had enough, I got her dressed and warm so we can sit back and watch Alicia & Daisy play. After the sprinkler park we went to McDonald's for lunch, they played some at the playground they had there and then we went home to take naps. Over all this was a great day, it was very peaceful and fun.

Happy Tails

Today Javi had the day off so we kept busy all day, we ended our day taking the dogs to a dog park. I absolutely loved taking the dogs to the dog park and loved watching them play with the other dogs. This was my dogs Teddy's first time ever at a dog park and he loved it too! It was also Daisy and Jasleen's first time at a dog park, they had so much fun watching all the other dogs and ours. We stayed there for a good couple of hours just loving the weather and enjoying our Dogs.

Honor Roll Ceremony

Today was an extremely busy day for me, early this morning I attended Alicia's honor roll ceremony. She did extremely well this third quarter, Alicia got all A's and B's meaning she received silver honor roll. I am so proud of Alicia as I always am. This week Alicia will be working real hard preparing for the FCAT which is next week. I have faith that she will do fine and pass this unpleasant test that this state of Florida demands students to pass in order to either move on to the next grade or get a diploma. I have had a bad experience involving the FCAT, so I hope Alicia can get through this test with no problems.
